Light's relationships with Misa and Takada upset me so much. I bet they felt very loved by his kisses and caresses, when in reality, it was already calculated beforehand by him to make them feel that way. I mean, like albasti pointed out, his expression didn't change at all after Misa kissed him. Ouch, ow, ow, ow.

I have so many feelings and this will be long, don’t read. It’s just hard to comprehend someone who could be so callous towards everyone, including family and people close to him, keeping it in mind that he’s still so empathetic, supposedly, so he’s not a standard rotten to the core villain. I think of how he was willing to kill his sister on 2 occasions and when Ohba said that when Light cried when Soichiro died “it wasn’t all acting” but a big part of it must have been and I just can’t even with Light anymore. I think it’s interesting how he relies so much on charm to manipulate people, but he’s particularly patronising to women because he must think that they’re so easily won over, going by how he interacts with them. Like with Naomi when she wasn’t falling for his bullshit, he was bricking it because he just presumed that it would work. It just suggests to me that he has literally zero respect for anyone apart from L, either because of general disillusionment or because that’s just the way he is. He keeps Misa around because she’s so devoted that it makes her a servant to him, but however you look at it you know that he’d kill her like he killed Kiyomi and that makes scenes like that kiss really upsetting. Oh my GOD it’s so sad.

:D Al’s spot on for pointing that out. He takes his hand off her waist as well  whyyyy, Light? Have you seen her tiny pants, ffs?

This is one of the reasons why Misa has always made me feel sad.
