Nope! It’s not another manga, although it could turn out to be another manga. For now, we don’t know what it will be. It’s not the thing you see here. I’m seeing the words “remake” and “update” getting tossed around a lot all over Tumblr since this news broke, but to be honest, it’s just as likely to turn out to be some kind of tribute.
This picture was confusing, but it’s apparently photo of an ad in the Shueisha Jump Remix publication of Death Note V. 5 (see also: Jump Remix site). “Once dead…” is most likely from the page at the end of Ch. 107. This free manga site version doesn’t have the right font, but it seems like it might be because it was a scanlation. It might be worth someone dragging out their very own version of v12 (regular edition) or v6 (black edition) to see how they compare.

I’d be surprised if SJ made it the “Year of Death Note”… if only because DN is no longer running. But something like another side story chapter and/or an art tribute, plus maybe some products for collectors? That seems likely.
My guess is that if it’s any kind of “update,” it’s going to be something like Ch 109, which was not really an L Change the World tie-in in plot terms, but was released to coincide with it.
