Getting into character analysis, what leads to this scene (his anger about the deaths of the FBI agents leading into having to work face-to-face with the NPA task force, which is implicitly something that makes everything a little bit more dangerous for all of them) is one reason why I’ve never been able to get behind overly grimdark character interpretations of L. Which still doesn’t make him someone who would be an easy person to be around or get along with.
